Great Kills, Staten Island

On a sunny December afternoon

Great Kills is both a train station and "village" on Staten Island.  A major station - it is the final Westbound and first Eastbound express stop - Great Kills is actually a quaint little place with small shops and homes.  The unusual architecture of many SIRT stations in exemplidied in this particular station.

Looking Eastbound, waiting room is over tracks

Eastbound local prepares to head to Bay Terrace

Local's tail lights in deep afternoon shadows

Eastbound approaches from the West

Looking west, local headed toward Eltingville

Eastbound enters the station
