The foot soldier has specific ways of accomplishing his tasks. Most of us are familiar with a firing line, but there are other things which are part and parcel of the infantry. This section shows a few of these in brief detail, with illustrations culled from US Army Manuals. Even though one of the two manuals is more than sixty years old, the tactics are still taught and used. Some things work as they have for centuries, despite improvements in technology!
