Enemy Air Commmandos
Communist Forces, German Fallschirmjager, WWII Italian Paratroopers, IMF Enemy Cadre
Cold War
Communists At the end of World War II, European and Asian
nations aligned themselves with either of two blocs. On the one side was the Western
bloc, led by the United States and Britain. Opposing them was the
Soviet-aligned Communist Bloc. Communist forces received much of their equipment
from the Soviet Union. Many
wore drab or brown combat uniforms with the green Russian helmet. Our Commie Air Commandos are
inspired by those troops. They are dressed in a medium brown uniform
Soviet green helmets and red collar tabs and shoulder boards. Each is in an action comb at
pose. There is the officer,
the submachine gunner and the automatic rifleman. Wow! A
piece of Cold Wear history that fits in the palm of your hand. Hold your own piece of
Soviet-backed infantry. The fun begins when you take then out of the box.

Fallschirmjager World War II
German Paratroopers Germany experimented with the idea of parachute
troops prior to World War II.
The experiment became fact in 1940, when elite German paratroopers
captured several "invincible" forts in Belgium. Known as fallschirmjager -
"Falling Hunters" - these stalwart troops fought in several
campaigns. They made their
mark in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Crete and
Normandy. One intriguing fact is that technically, the
fallschirmjager were not soldiers, but airmen. Germany's parachute troops were
units within the Luftwaffe, the German Air Force. They wore their camouflage
paratrooper smocks over air force uniforms. Our Fallschirmjager wear their camouflage jackets
over Air Force blue uniforms. Their helmets have a flat top and narrow
brim, as per the German parachute headgear. You have a choice of green or grey
type smocks. Each set comes
with an officer, submachine gunner and automatic rifleman. (Note that some automatic riflemen
do not have bayonets fixed.) Get a set while they last. The German Air Commandos are a popular item and our inventory is limited.

(This is the uniform of the early days of Italys parachute force. Later in the wart, they were issued distinctive camouflage smocks.) IMF Enemy Cadre One of the elements of the old "Mission Impossible"
television series was the enemy itself. Enemies varied from individuals
and small groups to foreign agencies and hostile governments. Several incidents involved the
police or army of an oppressive regime. Officers of these forces wore
basic dress uniforms with white shirt, tie, and a grey or blue jacket with
shoulder boards and collar tabs.
They were supposed to look as if they were Eastern European
troops. Inspired by a variety of spy shows, our Inimical
Military Force Cadre look the part of a hostile regime's troops. Their
grey uniforms sport red collar and lapel tabs. The kit is complete with blackened
field gear and steel helmets.
They make a great generic enemy, especially for Cold War scenarios
involving Eastern Europe.
Whether you want them as enemy airfield defense forces, a secret
police strike team, elite enemy air commandos or memories of TV
adventures, our IMF Cadre fit the bill
nicely. Each set includes three figures: an officer,
submachine gunner and automatic rifleman.
