Audrey noticed this train set while shopping at Sam's. She thought it would look nice under our tree. Of course, we also wanted to run it at the Show. It's big, robust and attractive. How big? Well ,we could have run at least three O27 trains in the space it took for this one train. Called "The North Star Express" by Bachmann, it includes a very nicely detailed locomotive, passenger coach, passenger combine and a caboose. The addition of lighted "Snow Babies" house, Lionel passenger platform and covered bridge highlighted the train. I placed some vintage 1950s plastic railroad people just for fun.
The train is a Bachmann North Star Express. Audrey bought it this year to add to the show. |
In the background are a porcelain house, Lionel station platforms and plastic trackside miniature people from the early 1950s. Up close is a covered bridge. |
