S-Trax Loop - type Layouts

The S-Trax system by S Helper Service provides track that is compatible in configuration to American Flyer, yet has more realistic rail and roadbed.  The following layouts use this system to illustrate its use in the classic type layout.  While a small but vociferous group of scale-oriented individuals decry loop layouts as "unrealistic," the loop systems remain the most popular.  Despite the scale types, most people tend more toward classic toy train type operations rather than point-to-point systems.  You can easily substitute traditional American Flyer track and track systems using the same track lengths and curve radii to make these layouts..

This is a classic 5' by 8'  loop-type layout allowing a clockwise-running train continuous running through both loops. The sidings are coming from the inner loop in this variation. We have expanded to 8' by 10' through the addition of a 4' by 5'  section in the lower left.  This addition gives more switching / freight action, and the ability to combine point-to-point type operations within the loop layout.
