O Gauge Railroading Forums

There are several forums used by O Gauger railroaders.  They can be useful resources, with helpful advice available from other hobbyists.  Here is a brief rundown of the forums

O Gauge Railroading - This forum is run by O Gauge Railroading Magazine.  It is very popular and well-attended.

Classic Toy trains - (This link takes you to the Trains.Com main page, from where you can get to the Classic Toy Trains forums)

Sponsored by Classic Toy Trains magazine. Another popular forum.

Modelrailroadjournal.com - newer format with many members from the other forums. This forum allows posters to be more outspoken.  Model Railroad Journal is aimed more at adult model railroaders than youngsters.

Be aware that the O Gauge Railroading and Classic Toy Trains forums tend to have more censorship. Part is due to the fact that magazines have to respect their advertisers. Since advertisers' products and services are frequent topics of conversation, moderators tend to censor posts which may offend an advertiser. Modelrailroadjournal.com is not sponsored by a periodical, and so allows candid discussions of products, services, and issues affecting manufacturers and vendors.

I have used all three of these forums and have gotten to know many of the people who use them regularly. The forums all have their merits. You will find plenty of helpful, friendly folks and you might run across an occasional knucklehead.
