Here are a pair of Gilbert HO cars. Gilbert also made the popular S gauge trains. It made a foray into HO in the 1950s.

These are rather nice cars, and even have sprung trucks.

Like Lionel, Gilbert did not fully understand the nuances of HO or "scale model railroading." their experience was with toy trains. Despite making some decent models, Gilbert's foray into HO was as much a flop as Lionel's.
