The uniforms and equipment depicted here are the early brown drab and khaki tan. There were such massive stocks of older khaki clothing and gear that it was issued throughout the war, alongside olive drab gear. These images are from the early years and depict the earliest type uniforms. Olive drab and lighter green was issued later. Even then, the older gear continued to be issued since there were enormous stockpiles of it.
