A prize possession of Milihistriot Quarterly is this set of figures made for Bob Bard. They stand 4 1/2 inches tall, and were handcrafted by Richard T. Brady in the 1950s. Brady would make a basic figure, and "clothed" it and detail it with clay. He made a mold from the clay figure and cast the miniature. Next he added detail such as belts and equipment., and painted it. Each was original and unique. One particular series commissioned by Bard was the "Early American Fighting Men". Most figures were done in gloss, but the figures of Grant and Lee were done in matt uniforms.
We are proud to show you these excellent military miniatures.
