Classic Tin Lithography
Tin lithography lent itself well to the making of many accessories. What better way to make a train set look bigger than decorating the small tunnel with mountain scenes? The louis Marx Company had two tin tunnel motifs. The more common was a simple farm scene, and the less common an ornate mining came scene. The tunnel sides are the same, and the interior is painted red.
This tunnel features a mining camp scene, mountains and a passing train on a trestle. |
