SIRT's MOW has three types of locomotive - a small 70 tonner in yellow (they have two), an EMD switcher in dark blue, and what looks to be a Baldwin in faded blue. The exact type is difficult to discern, since these locomotives have been rebuilt and reconfigured so many times!
Here we have the EMD locomotive as it passed by here one afternoon. Alerted by the horn and bell, we rushed to get a few pictures.
Heading Eastbound, the diesel is actually running backward! |
Behind it is an empty flat car |
SIRT recently aquires a slew of old flat cars. |
Trailing caboose is used as a mobile tool shed. |
The entire train is visible here |
Only the caboose is seen as it leaves Bay Terrace. |
