1/131 Diecast Trains

Maisto's "On Track" Collectible Trains

Maisto International is best know for its lines of diecast model cars.  They also make On Track, a series of small diecast trains in the unfathomable scale of 1/131.  The folks on the TTSMR Yahoo Group tipped me off to them.  Because of the dearth of American trains manufacturer for TT, several felt that the 1/131 diecast trains might be of use.

The Maisto International "On Track" sets proved elusive.  We were finally able to acquire some via Asheville Diecast in North Carolina.  They arrived in good order, and the work began.  In each set were a locomotive and several cars and 20 pieces of track (16 curves, 4 straights).  The freight sets had four cars each.  The passenger sets had three plastic coaches, plus a toy crossing, toy signal, and two toy trees.  Track was molded as a one-piece plastic section.
