Simple, Fun Layouts for Garden Railroads

Now we have some fun. All three layouts are based on classic O Gauge track plans from the 1940s and 1950s. Experienced train operators might recognize them. of course, doing them with Aristocraft track is not a perfect fit, so the layouts were reworked to accommodate #1 / G Gauge track with 4' diameter curves. The results are worth the effort. Our first layout is fine for a long garden, while the second and third make for enjoyable train running. As usual, you may have to fudge trackwork an inch or so in a couple of places. As nice as the plans are, what works on paper works out differently once track is laid in the garden.
