We have but three fulls-size freight cars: two 40' boxcars and one 40' reefer. Here we are running a small freight with CNJ boxcar, Stewart's Root Beer reefer and small caboose. The locomotive is the Rogers 2-4-2 tank engine. All are from Aristocraft.
One of the joys of our railway is the variety, however small, of trains we can run. Each type has a different effect. There are the consist of small, narrow-gauge cars in our Brick hauler, the medium-sized blue coaches of our passenger train, and the tall, long boxcars for our freights. Last but not least, the consist of small cars for the battery-operated toy train. Each brings something different to operations here.
Our freight passes the station and windmill. |
Here's the freight entering the crossover. The small Rogers 2-4-2 tank engine is a pleasure to run. |
