Ocean Grove Holiday Show

Crawford Family's O27 Display

This cute little O27 display features a classic Marx steamer with two tin cars on a single loop.  Inside the loop are classic Christmas decorations from many years ago.  The paper buildings, quaint figures and other items were common in the 1950s and 1960s.  It's a wonderful way to give folks a cherished piece of past Yuletides.

Here's a long shot of the full display.

Note the white plastic reindeer, a popular fellow in the 1950s.  The bottle-brush trees and paper houses were common under-the-tree decor in the 50s and 60s.

Gary's wife was fixing an ornament while I photographed the train.  Note the wood fence and those paper figures, circa 1958

An old tinplate crossing sign guards the end of the layout.  Just outside you can see figures made from Christmas balls, a popular decoration of the mid to later 1960s

How many of these things do you remember?

Gary and his mom pose behind the layouts while visitors enjoy all the layouts
