Ocean Grove Holiday Show

Crawford Family's HO and G Display Pikes

Gary Crawford, a member of the Pine Creek Railway, has three layouts for these shows.  His HO and O27 pikes are built on doors, and just the right size for transport to the show.  Gary's HO pike is intriguing, since it shows many details based on his vast experience with real narrow-gauge trains at the Pine Creek RR.  Especially notable is the loco shop.

The G Gauge pike is by Gary's mom, and it provides a most appealing backdrop to displaying Ocean Grove memorabilia.  Many items which Mrs. Crawford displayed were over 100 years old, including a stereopticon and old sepia-tone photographs  The choice of train was just right to accompany such interesting items.

This appealing little pike includes some amusing details - you have to look closely to see the humorous touches

No roof? The roof was left off so people can see what the inside of a locomotive show is like.  That shop was made many years ago, by the way.

G Scale train is an excellent accompaniment to this wonderful assortment of classic items.

The train passes slowly, a fitting ornament for Mrs. Crawford's collection.

Resemblances to real locomotive shops are intentional.

That water tower is structurally similar to the real one at Pine Creek.
