Long Extended Point to Point Layouts

These extend the previous layouts sideways

These long 4' by 16' layouts offer real operational challenges. Best of all, you build them bit by bit without having to cease operations. Again, a person on a budget can have a rich man's layout!

We add an extra 4' to the left of our extended layout. A single switch creates a spur.

A second switch gives us a nice, curved spur track.

Same as above, but a few different pieces of track on the spur.

A second switch makes a second siding on the spur.

We can create a third spur as show.

Later, adding another switch, our newest spur is now a reverse loop.

One more switch makes a siding inside the loop.

Another switch makes a second siding inside the loop.
