As much as we appreciate our plastic armies, we can't appreciate them enough unless we know the real thing. Some of us have been up-close-and-personal with the real military, having served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. Even at that, we served at a specific period when only the equipment of the times was available. Therefore, it helps to get to see the real thing.
