Homecast Civil War

Modern Style Miniatures

The soldiers on this page are distinguished by their realism.  They are proportionate, detailed and are in realistic poses.  One could liken them to a live action photograph. All of the molds were manufactured by Castings Inc.  I have been trying to revive my old painting skills, and these are the miniatures with which I have been working.

Civil War figures are the most popular in the United States, and they rank high in other countries.  Civil War miniatures have large followings in northern Europe and Britain.  Worldwide, it is one of the three top eras, the others being World War II and the Napoleonic Wars.

These are bugler figures in various Confederate and Union uniforms.  One bugler was converted to a marching rifleman. These are made from Castings Inc. rubber molds.

Zouaves in two variations.  Zouave uniforms varied greatly in their cut and their colors.  These are cast from a Castings Inc rubber mold.

Three rifleman: Confederate butternut, Confederate regular, Union regular.  Cast from a Castings Inc three-cavity metal mold.  They are crude copies of a Marx 54mm Civil War figure

Three rifleman: Union militiaman, Union sharpshooter, Confederate "cadet Zouave" in red cap and red cuffs.  From the same mold as the previous trio.
