One of the more impressive items was the range of self-propelled artillery being issued to the US Army in the 1950s. These were like big, odd-shaped tanks. They had unusual features. Fort instance ,the M55 had attachments for protecting the crew from radioactive fallout. The Honest John Rocket was pretty cool, too. Kids were fascinated by them, and official Army photos loved showing them.
