Anticipation buuilds as the Santa Claus Train approaches. I hope this sequence gives you a feel for it.

As soon as the approaching train is heard, folks head toward the station. There is a constant repetition of the "Grade Crossing" horn signal (2 long blasts followed by one short blast, then one long blast). Only a few railfan photographers stay near Broadway to catch photos of the approaching locomotives. |
