Hand-made 1/20 Scale Models of CNJ Trains
Pete's train is special. He made it all himself, and the main ingredient is tin cans of varying sizes! Nonetheless, the end result is a scale model of a real train. Pete occasionally brings his hand-made railway to the Pine Creek Railroad, usually for special occasions. He sets up the long track with its turntables at each end. Children get a chance to help power the train. Power? Each locomotive has a fitting for a long wooden handle. The trains are pushed by hand. Once it reaches the end of the line, it gets turned around on the turntable for the next run.
These photos were taken during the November 4, 2000 show of the Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders in Lakewood, NJ.
