Here is a selection of 2 foot gauge "Critter" locomotives. I like the critters, and maybe I will explain why later.
A Plymouth critter - Pine Creek uses a 3-foot gauge Plymouth for routine work. |

When I was young, I had a toy called the "Marx-tronic Battery Operated Electric Train System", billed as "the train with a brain." It was a toy Plymouth Critter with two ore cars, a loop of track and a barrel loader. The little train would go back and forth, pickup up barrels.It fascinated me. Here I am over 40 years later, and I still love seeing critters. My toy critter looked like the black 25 Tonner. on another section of the site.
