Switching railway for narrow spaces

This layout uses a LOT of switches and one crossover (in lower center). It offers opportunity to run trains where space is at a premium. Most sidings can handle large locomotives. Only a few are limited to medium and smaller locomotives. However, unless you include a locomotive servicing facility in your scenery, you would be using medium to small locomotives. Shelf layouts like this enable folks to enjoy HO model railroading regardless of available space
