This layout is a 4' by 12' dogbone with two branchlines inside. One connects with the upper straightaway of the dogbone, the other with the lower. However,m the branchlines do not connect directly with each other. Therefore, you do not need to wire for a reversing track here. The dogbone gives you continuous running, and two branchlines mean you can have at least two more trains running at the same time. This layout can blend freight with commuter or passenger service. It uses 18" curves and #4 switches.
