This is a list of railroads and other entities whose names appear on Marx 3/16" Scale Plastic and Tin-litho locomotives, tenders and cars. The list is arranged in alphabetical order of the Railroads' full names and reporting marks (abbreviations). Beside each railroad is the list of cars which Marx made in the road's liveries. While the overwhelming majority are real railroads or owners of rail cars, a very few are fictional.

* Allstate is a tradmark of Sears. Among other things, it was the insurance company owned by Sears. As a major customer of Marx, Sears would have train sets specially made in the Allstate brand name.
** Marlines is a fiction road name and trademark of the Louis Marx Company. Marlines was used on several railroad cars and accessories, much the way Lionel used Lionel Lines.
